The author's style reminds the reader of Poe. The characters are well developed, particularly for short stories, and there is just enough of the macabre to give you a shiver as you finish each story. An enjoyable read!
Really enjoyed these short stories- creative, interesting, and I loved being completely surprised with each story's ending. I thought that Dr. Bill's use of tin types to create his erotic horror stories was a genius idea!
Mystery. Intrigue. Suspense. Imagination. Romance. These stories will take you to unexpected places and you will enjoy the journey into the lives of the vivid and colorful characters. What a clever idea to create short stories based on antique photographs. Like the photos, each story is unique. This collection reminds me of Poe. Very well done. 5 stars!!
This collection of short stories is one-of-kind! The author has created suspenseful, intriguing stories based on old tin types - a unique genre I've never read before. I love how the plots and characters are developed right away & suck you in from the beginning. Very imaginative with well-written, descriptive prose and attention to detail. Love "The Mask" set in Venice late 1800s!
"TIN TALES" Gothic horror is engaging. The tin images and their short stories were just what the doctor ordered and they are each revolutionary in their twists and turns. Totally unexpected plot twists and delivery. Impeccable!
Can't wait to read Moorefield's next title.
